Insurance : I am aware there is no insurance cover provided under the Self Pack Service and I understand I should insure my effects whilst in transit. Prohibited Items : I declare that no prohibited items listed in JSP 800 are, or will be included in my consignment. Excess Baggage Charges: I understand that I am personally liable for any excess baggage charges which may arise in connection with this removal as a result of moving UB above my authorised allowance of 6.00 CuM for UK-UK or UK-Northwest Europe movements and 2.85 or 4.10 CuM for overseas movements. Wated Journey Charge : I agree to refund the MOD the cost of any wasted journey charges as detailed in JSP 800. Assessment of Volume: I agree to accept the measurement and weight determined by the contracted shipping agent as the official volume on which any excess charge liability would be based. I acknowledge that, should the authority for my immediate family to move to my new location not be given OR should my immediate family not move to my new location for other than Service reasons, I agree to refund to MOD, if required, the total cost of any movement of my immediate family UB to and from that location. Indemnity: I understand that the shipping agent will act on my behalf for the clearance of my UB through customs, and payment of any duty levied. I therefore authorise MOD to reimburse the shipping agent the amount of duty paid. Upon such payment being made, a sum equal to the amount will become due forthwith and payable by me to the MOD and be recovered through my salary. I recognise that the amount of customs duty levied is assessed BY HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) and that any dispute regarding the amount of duty paid is a matter for me to take up with the particular Customs and Excise Office which assessed the duty and not MOD nor the Shipping Agent. Such dispute, does not affect the right of the MOD to recover Customs Duty on my behalf.
